Rules and Regulations:
Type of Car
No trucks, 4×4’s, jeeps, convertibles, hearse, limousines, Chrysler Imperials, El Camino, or Ranchero allowed. Cars previously run in other demolition derbies may be considered too battered and unsafe, resulting in disqualification.
1)  Stock gas tank must be removed and 2 or 3 gallon steel tank or marine tank installed and securely fastened. No plastic tanks unless marine. If original tank is used it must be shielded and approved by Special Events Committee and their decision will be final. GAS TANK MUST BE POSITIONED NO FURTHER BACK THAN THE REAR AXLE, AND NO MORE THAN 18″ FORWARD FROM THE REAR AXLE. NO OTHER LOCATION PERMITTED.
Vehicle Preparation:
2) All glass including back window, side windows, head and tail lights must be removed. Rolling down windows is not permitted. Also breaking glass and leaving in car is not permitted. Windshield MUST BE removed and a mesh or plexiglass installed. A steel bar must be attached vertically to windshield left of center to protect driver, should hood be pushed back. No mesh on drivers door so driver can exit.
3) CHROME molding strips and all burnable material except dash must be removed. This includes all extra chrome or plastic not essential for operation or safety of vehicle.
4) ANY sharp protruding fins or dangerous objects (mash down or cut off) must be removed.
5) NO SPECIAL bumpers, reinforcements, fabrications or trailer hitches permitted. Bumper cannot be cut off, or reinforced in any way but chains are allowed on front and rear bumpers only and must be bolted not welded.
6) RADIATORS must remain in original position or be removed, tranny coolers are permitted but only if they are secure inside the engine compartment. No fans attached to motor. No electric fans.
7) ROLL OVER BARS or roll cages are allowed but not necessary.
8) ALL DOORS must be fastened shut by wire or straps. NO CHAINS. Drivers doors may be spot WELDED every 12″ for drivers protection. Vehicle will be disqualified if DOOR(S) BECOME OPEN DURING EVENT.DRIVERS DOORS ONLY MUST BE PAINTED WHITE. NUMBERS OR WRITING ARE NOT ALLOWED ON EITHER DOOR: RACE OFFICIALS WILL PAINT BOTH NUMBER AND HEAT NUMBER AFTER CARS HAVE MECHANICAL O.K. No white cars. If cars are pre-registered you MAY be able to have # of your choice.
9) ALL INTERIOR TRIM, REAR SEAT and sun visors must be removed, except driver’s seat and seat belts and dashboard.
10) NO REINFORCEMENT of any kind will be tolerated. Trunk will be opened for inspection. If unable to be opened vehicle will not be allowed to enter event. If vehicle trunk was damaged from a previous event it is mandatory that it be opened for inspection.
11) WELDING DOWN or chaining solid the engine mounts is recommended but not necessary.
12) AIR BREATHER must remain in motor.
13) THE CAR must be swept clean. No glass, tires, junk allowed in cars.Opening in hood over carburetor 8″ square. ALSO 8″ square in trunk for visibility. Both HOOD AND TRUNK must have two strands of wire placed on corners so hood and trunk will not fly open. Hood and trunk must not be welded or bolted shut, firement must be able to open in case of fire. No double tires or liquids in tires. No studs or screws in rims to hold tires. No SNOW tires. No light truck tires. All tires must be passenger car tires.
14) Shocks, coil and leaf springs must be stock and remain in stock operational order.
15)  NO HITTING DRIVER’S DOORS.
16)  NO HEAD ON COLLISIONS.
17) WHEN RACE IS IN PROGRESS AND YOUR CAR DIE/STALLS/QUITS PLEASE REMAIN IN YOUR CAR WITH HELMET AND SEAT BELTS ON.
18) KEEP HEAD, HANDS, AND ARMS inside car at all times.
19) Hits must be aggressive. Simple contact within time limit does not constitute combat and could be considered sandbagging. Sixty second time limit.
20) FIRE EXTINGUISHERS MUST be within close reach in drivers compartment.
21) ALL DRIVERS and MECHANICS must attend MANDATORY DRIVERS MEETING 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO START OF DERBY.
22) HELMETS, SEATBELTS, COVERALLS MANDATORY. No shorts or T-shirts.
FLAGS
GREEN – “Git R Done” It’s Demo Derby Time
BLACK – YOU HAVE BEEN DISQUALIFIED. Stop you vehicle and remain inside until the race if complete
RED – Every car must come to an immediate STOP
23) ENTRY MUST BE MADE IN THE NAME OF THE DRIVER who will actually drive the CAR in the competition. If the driver who is entered cannot drive THE DRIVER DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO SELL THE ENTRY FORM TO SOMEONE ELSE.
24) NO DRINKING of alcoholic beverages on track, in emergency vehicle area or in pit area. Any driver or pit personnel under the influence of alcohol or Drugs will be immediately disqualified and removed from the grounds. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

25) General Public will be allowed in Pit area to view vehicles until 30 minutes prior to RACE. Then ONLY personnel with Pit Passes will be allowed in Pit Area until after Event is over. This is for SAFETY AND INSURANCE REASONS and will be strictly enforced. REMEMBER this event is to HAVE FUN. We all have Family and Work to go to after this event.SO PLEASE PLAY HARD BUT PLAY FAIR AND PLAY SAFE.

IMPORTANT: Registration entitles each driver to 3 fair passes. No individual will be allowed into pit area until waiver is signed. Each Driver will be allowed only two persons for pit crew (i.e. mechanic). ABSOLUTELY NO KIDS ALLOWED IN PIT AREA.DRIVERS AND MECHANICS must sign in at registration desk by 1:00 on the day of the Derby with their vehicle. Cars will be inspected to show compliance with Derby rules (not for determining safety of car or driver).All participants and pit personnel are subject to and must obey rules and regulations of this special event.

Each driver must be of legal age (18 years) and hold a valid driver’s license.

All drivers must supply their own car.

One entry per person.

Proof of ownership should accompany each car entered.

The Special Events Committee reserves the right to approve or reject any or all entries and their decision will be final. The Special Events Committee will not be held responsible for any cars, parts, or personal property before, during or after event.
